Hickory High School has officially started a new school year! We asked some teachers and school staff about their experiences during the first week and their thoughts about the new school year. 

 The first question was, ‘’How was the first week of school?’’ Most students said the first week was good. Students were excited to show their new clothes and were enthusiastic about their electives. A teacher said she was most excited about helping students when they have problems.

 The next question was about fears for this school year. We asked, “What is your biggest fear this school year?” Students shared different answers. Some said they were scared of difficult  classes. Others felt nervous about making new friends or fitting in.

 To sum up, both teachers and students had a good first week at school. Despite some nerves and challenges, everyone seemed positive and ready to learn. We wish all students and staff a wonderful and successful new school year!
