Congratulations to the Journalism students for winning the CPS Instructional Innovations Grant!  Under the direction of Mrs. Emery and Mrs. Daley, students will create Hawk Nation – a student-run online information resource connecting the entire school with relevant past, present, and future community information. Hawk Nation will provide a space for students to develop real-world skills, express their creativity, and make a lasting impact on our school. The first issue of Hawk Nation will be published in February.  The website is up and running at HickoryHawkNation.com.  

The Hawk Nation team is comprised of Lilly Johnson, Kami Lane, Alora Larsen, Gabby Pena, and Lucian Venegas Zurita.  We are currently advertising this new initiative and looking for feedback from the Hickory Hawk student and faculty community.  Please take a moment and review our overview presentation and send any feedback or suggestions to Natalie Emery or Madison Daley.
